The following is only an example. Buyer Bob contacts us about buying a $100,000 home and making a contribution to Agency X. We introduce Bob to Agent Anne, who has agreed to pay us a referral fee for buyer Bob's business. Agent Anne helps Bob purchase his dream home. At closing Agent Anne's Broker splits her $4,000 commission with us. Agent Anne's Broker receives a $2,800 (70%) commission check and REFFR receives a $1,200 (%30) referral fee. We then take that $1,200 and give $720 (60%) of it to Agency X and keep $480 (40%) for administrative fees. *The Previous example is based on the sale of a $100,000 home, and an %8 commission being split between the listing and selling offices, a 30% referral fee and our 60%/40% split. Please Note: We are licensed real estate agents, but act only as a referral office. We do not represent buyers or sellers in real estate transactions. Real Estate for Fundraising is a referral service that allows homebuyers or sellers to direct us to contribute 60% of our referral fee to non-profit organizations. It is common practice for licensed real estate agents and their brokers to pay other licensed agents referral fees or finder's fees for clients who close on a real estate deal. Each Broker determines the percentage of referral fee they are willing to provide. What does it cost to participate? There is no charge to participate in Real Estate for Fundraising. We ask non-profit organizations to promote our service to your members and include our website link on your website. Some restrictions do apply. In turn, Real Estate for Fundraising will add your organization and a description of your mission and services to our website and our list of participating non-profits. This gives buyers or sellers the opportunity to learn more about you and your mission and to possibly direct us to make a contribution to your cause.
